Stephan Schablinski

Stephan Schablinski is Director, Sustainable Supply Chain Solutions at DHL. He is also the Director of the Green Transformation Lab, a new collaboration between DHL and the Singapore Management University. The Lab focuses on education, research and best practice development, and the creation of innovative solutions to help organizations transform their businesses towards sustainable green growth and drive change in supply chains across the region.

Stephan’s recent achievements in the sustainability arena at DHL include contributing to carbon accounting standards developed by World Economic Forum (WEF), World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), World Resources Institute (WRI), and the Green Freight program in Europe, and developing Green Solutions for the logistics industry. He has also co-organized The Green Freight Asia Network, a program that brings together shippers, carriers, logistics providers and associations to advance green freight in Asia.

Prior to joining DHL, Stephan had over 15 years of experience in management positions at European and Global corporations, working in Engineering and IT, Procurement and Business Development.

Stephan holds degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration.

Kar Way has been an active member of the School of Information Systems (SIS), Singapore Management University (SMU) since 2005. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor (Practice) at SMU SIS. She teaches courses related to Business Process Management, Enterprise Integration, Enterprise Systems and supervises projects.

She holds a PhD in Information Systems from Singapore Management University and a First Class Honours in BSc (Computer and Information Sciences) degree from the National University of Singapore. Her portfolio as Academic Director of the Green Transformation Lab enables linkage of SMU’s education, practice and research initiatives with real-world business problems. Kar Way’s research interests are in applied research spanning the cross-disciplinary domains of intelligent decision-support and business process management. In particular, she applies her research expertise in healthcare and logistics processes.

Prior to joining SMU, Kar Way spent seven years in IT consulting with IBM Global Services. During which, she built a track record of design and implementation of customized applications for medium-to-large enterprises in banking, public sector, healthcare, construction and aviation industries.
